‘Learn by Doing… Shapes’ has a total of 24 double-sided cards, all at the same great value as our number cards. The world is made up of so many shapes and, as a child, it’s fascinating to discover them. The pack includes 24 double-sided Montessori style 2D and 3D shapes and shapes to trace, all designed specifically to help learn and recognise the number of sides on each shape. A simple dot to dot connection to learn to draw the shape and help understand the number of points and sides to each shape. Learn through playing a number of fun games on the reference card to explore shapes in everyday objects in nature and indoors. The pack also contains a prewriting card, designed to highlight developmental ages to encourage your child to draw and write independently.
The Learn by Doing… Shapes pack is perfect for preschool (aged 2+), Reception (early years, ages 4-5 years) and Year 1 (ages 5-6 years). The shapes included are: circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, sphere, cylinder, pyramid, cone, cube and cuboid. Logan really enjoyed looking to see if he could match the shapes on the cards with things in the cafe. I also love that the cards fit so easily in my handbag and keep him engaged for ages as there are so many different ways to use them. And saves me getting mum guilts for giving him the iPad to keep him busy while I enjoy my coffee! When we had finished playing with the shapes Logan asked if we could do the maths ones next!
Maths is fun mummy can we do it again tomorrow!
Harry loves his numbers and these cards are perfect! These are great for him practicing sums and becoming more confident with his numbers, especially before he starts school in September. Great quality too and I love the simplicity!
Our 3-year-old particularly enjoyed matching the dots to the numbers with a little help when needed. Great quality cards and very clear, we will get lots of use out of these!
My 4 year old daughter loves numbers and these cards are great because they represent numbers in different ways. They are also really useful because you can extend the learning with older children and they can be used in many different ways. My one year old loves them too because of the black and white colours used!
Logan loves the cards! I love the fact they are black and white, so he can't rely on matching against colours! He also really enjoys doing the sums using the dots. Perfect for starting school in September.
The simplicity of these cards is what makes them awesome! Great for both my two and four year old with so many possibilities.
These flashcards are amazing! Caleb loves numbers but they are a great way to recognise and become more confident with numbers. They can be used in so many ways and with a list of ideas. So so many uses. I love how simple yet effective they are.
The girls loved them. They’re really versatile. I could work on number recognition with Dot and do sums with Little. The girls really enjoyed them and it was good to see Little hadn’t forgotten how to add up since school has finished! Will take them away with us too as they’re really compact so great for a holiday!
These cards are brilliant, Rose really enjoyed playing with them and especially counting the dots which is a great activity for her at 2 years old. I can certainly see how these cards are going to be a firm fixture in her learning journey.
