World Maths Day is one of the largest educational celebrations/event aiming to bring millions of school-aged children (5-18 years) from across the globe together to engage in the fun and exciting world of numbers.

World Maths Day is co-ordinated/hosted by 3P learning

When:

• Wednesday 23rd March 2022.
• This year marks the 15th World Maths day celebration!
• Event runs for 48 hours to cover all time zones.

Why:

• To celebrate Maths together regardless of ability or background.
• To show that Maths is fun, engaging and exciting. Numbers are everywhere!

How to join in:

• Take part in the live 20 different 60-second challenges and earn a point for every correct answer which goes towards your World Maths Day score.
• Join in in many other fun Maths games and challenges.
• Take part as an individual or as a school/class.

Cost:

• Free! Just register or log in using your Mathletics subscription or sign up for a free one-day World Maths Day account

Interesting fact:

World Maths Day holds a world record verified and awarded by Guinness World Records. The record was for the largest Maths competition. On March 3 2010 there were 1,204,766 participants that took part from 235 different countries around the world. Let’s see if we can beat that record this year!
