1. Lay out a simple addition sum using one card from the Numbers Flashcards and one from the Numbers Extension Flashcards. Leave the equals sign without the answer at the end.

2. Go through the sum with your child seeing if they can read the number and see if they get it right by flipping over and counting the tally dots.

3. Ask your child whether they know the answer. If they don't count the dots together to see if they can add them all up
