The answer to this is yes, however… remember that every child, or grown-up for that matter, learns in their own individual way and at their own pace. There are some great resources out there that are effective in learning language and phonics – from books to television programmes. Most parents with young children over the last 15 years or so may be familiar with books written by Julia Donaldson, best known for writing The Gruffalo and Zog.
